Cheese Fondue Fritters (Malakoff)

FYI: Fondue is a Swiss dish of melted cheese served in a communal pot over a portable stove heated with a candle or spirit lamp, and eaten by dipping bread into the cheese using long-stemmed forks (from Wikipedia).
