FYI: The French term cordon bleu is translated as "blue ribbon". A cordon bleu or schnitzel cordon bleu is a dish of meat wrapped around cheese, then breaded and pan-fried or deep-fried (from Wikipedia).
More facts: In its most classic form, cordon bleu is chicken or veal wrapped around Swiss cheese and ham. The classic recipe, however is much more flavorful when the cheese used is a tasty, complex gourmet cheese (from Ile de France Cheese).
