Spring Onion Pancakes



Who likes savory pancakes? A nice plain pancake dough mixed with spring onions and dipped into a mandarin style sauce sounds yummy! If you need some snacks to eat at home, you can easily make this fried pancakes yourself in just a few minutes.

All you need for the pancakes are water, flour, spring onions, and salted butter. Make sure the water is boiling hot. To make the pancakes you just mix all the ingredients together until it forms into a nice plain dough. Add the green spring onions until it sinks into the dough. For the dipping sauce you will need soy sauce, Chinkiang vinegar, sliced spring onion, ginger, and sugar. Don't forget to grate the fresh ginger so they won't form in large chunks.

FYI: Zhenjiang or Chinkiang vinegar is a rice-based black vinegar widely used in Chinese cuisine. It takes its name from Zhenjiang, a city on the Yangtze River between Nanjing and Shanghai.(Wikipedia)
